To provide central notification services and public education to prevent damage to underground facilities in Alabama.
Alabama One Call is a non-profit organization established under Alabama Act 94-487. Anyone engaging in excavation activities is required to notify underground facility owners prior to the start of excavation. Alabama One Call helps streamline this process by providing a "one call" service allowing excavators to notify area utility companies quickly and efficiently.
Alabama One Call is funded by it's member utility companies and is a free service to the excavating community.

APACT Gas and Pipeline Education Safety Meetings The 2010 schedule for the APACT meetings is almost ready. 2009 was a successful program with over 2300 attendees adn a 6% increase over 2008. |

2008 Damage Information Reporting Final Report The 2008 written DIRT (Damage Information Reporting Tool) Report has been released and is available for download at the Common Ground Alliance web site. This report is a valuable tool to be used to analyze root causes of damages to underground facilities. A Powerpoint presentation overview of the report is available here.
